Travelling to and from the school
Parents are asked to park their cars in a suitable place and not to drop off their child on the road as this can result in dangerous situations being created. Parents are also asked to escort their children to and from the school gate to ensure their child’s safety, particularly during the end of the day rush.
Any unsafe parking, drop-off or pick-up practice will attract the attention of the staff on duty. Please respond positively to their requests as it is the safety of the student that is paramount in matter.
Students are expected to travel to and from the school in full School uniform.
Once students leave the school site, they are no longer the responsibility of the school. However, whilst in school uniform students are representatives of JESS and should therefore behave in a manner which is appropriate. Any reports of and should therefore behave in a manner which is appropriate. Any reports of inappropriate behavior whilst in school uniform will be dealt with by the school.
Code of conduct
We believe and accept that self-respect and respect for others are mutually inclusive concepts. This respect takes into consideration not only others personal feelings but also regards for their property, security and well-being.
You are expected to:
- Assume a polite and courteous manner showing respect towards your fellow students, staff and others.
- Respect the privacy of yours fellow students and staff.
- Show respect for your own property and that of others.
- Avoid engaging in and/or encouraging others in bullying, racism, and bad language.
- Keep all areas of the school clean of litter and graffiti.
- Always use please and thank you.
- Be punctual for all lessons, meetings and activities.
- Take pride in your work.
- Be organized and bring the correct equipment to lessons.
- Always move around the school in a calm and quite manner.
- Consume food drink in the designated areas.
- Care for each other without intimidation or harassment.
- Adhere to the school dress code.
Student Dress Code
All student are expected to conform to the school’s code of dress and wear their ubiform appropriately and , ideally, with pride. Parents are an important part of our corporate approach to this and are asked to support the School fully in the implementation of the dress code.
